She portrayed Karen Walker on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace (1998-2006, 2017-2020) for which she received 8 Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series winning twice in the years 2000 and 2006. In addition to the Screen Actors Guild Award, which she won for Outstanding Female Actor Performance by a Female in a Comedy Series, she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards as well as seven nominations in a row. One of her first acting spots was on a McDonald's commercial which featured John Goodman. Her debut on the series was The Ellen Burstyn Show in 1986. She has guest appearances on Seinfeld, Frasier, Wings Ned, Stacey Mad About You Caroline - in the City 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Just Shoot Me! She played the lead character in season five episode of Murder She Wrote. She spoke about her experiences in 2012 when she hadn't been employed for so much time and how panicky she felt since she could not pay her rent. Then I got a phone call one day from my agent that I was invited to play a guest character that would pay $5,000. When I was asked to be a witness, I collapsed on my back and wept. I was a former Jessica Fletcher protegee. The film is my favorite piece of work I've ever shot. Her previous marriage was to Michael A. Katcher between 1992 until 1996. Following that, she got married in 2003 with Nick Offerman. In 2015 she portrayed Grandma Linda's character in Hotel Transylvania 2 Her parents are Martha Mullally along with Carter Mullally Jr. Mullally was able to move with her father back to his native Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of six. Her heritage is English Irish and Scandinavian. While in high school, she also studied at School of American Ballet New York City.
