Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing and play instruments in the early years with her mother. She received more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In her early years as a student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. Following her move back to America in the year 2000, she joined a chorus of United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present location in southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. Her love and passion for the arts, music, as well as performing, keeps her active in numerous local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor in the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through the sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, in particular among the younger generation in keeping the music vibrant.
